FootballXL is an inclusive football league supporting men’s health, fitness, and wellbeing. We create a welcoming, non judgemental environment where men of all abilities can enjoy football, build confidence, and feel part of a positive community.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a friendly, reliable League Facilitator to help deliver an exceptional experience at our Friday league.
As a League Facilitator, you’ll be the warm, approachable face of FootballXL. You’ll help players feel welcome, support our wellbeing focused approach, and ensure the smooth running of each session.
This role suits someone who enjoys working with people, is organised, and cares about men’s wellbeing and community sport.
What You’ll Do:
• Greet players on arrival and create a positive, supportive atmosphere
• Log player weights and wellbeing scores using our simple process
• Update match scores and results after each session
• Allocate new players to teams to maintain fairness and balance
• Act as the main point of contact for the league, answering basic queries and supporting players
• Administer the league WhatsApp group, keeping communication clear and positive
• Post a written weekly summary of the week’s action in the WhatsApp group
• Highlight and report any wellbeing concerns to FootballXL management
• Maintain FootballXL equipment, including pumping up balls and ensuring everything is match ready
• Report any equipment or inventory needs to the FootballXL management team
• Store and look after FootballXL equipment at the site each week
• Represent FootballXL professionally, upholding our values and standards
What We’re Looking For:
• Friendly, confident, and approachable
• Reliable and punctual — consistency is essential
• Comfortable handling basic admin tasks like score updates
• Strong communicator, happy being the go to person for players
• Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Organised and responsible when managing equipment
• Passionate about men’s health, wellbeing, and community sport
• Experience in sport, coaching, community work, or wellbeing is helpful but not essential
Contract Type
This is a self employed / freelance position. The successful applicant will be responsible for:
• Managing their own tax returns
• Providing any necessary insurance
• Invoicing FootballXL for completed sessions
