FootballXL Ltd exists to provide an inclusive, supportive, and enjoyable football environment that promotes social connection, physical activity, and mental wellbeing. By joining FootballXL Ltd, players agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.

 

1 | Player Eligibility To participate, players must identify as male, wish to improve their mental and physical wellbeing, meet league eligibility criteria, and have a minimum BMI of 25 at sign-up. FootballXL Ltd reserves the right to refuse or revoke membership if eligibility requirements are not met.

 

2 | BMI Requirement & Sign-Up Accuracy Players must have a BMI of at least 25 at the time of registration. All personal, medical, and identity information provided must be accurate, truthful, and complete. FootballXL Ltd reserves the right to verify submitted information. Providing false or misleading information, or failing to meet BMI requirements, may result in immediate termination without refund.

 

3 | Membership, Subscriptions & Payments An active subscription is required to participate. Failure to make payment may result in suspension or termination. If a membership lapses or is cancelled, any league or FootballXL Ltd administration fee must be paid each time a subscription is reinstated. Pricing and payment terms may change with notice.

 

4 | Refund Policy FootballXL Ltd operates a strict no-refund policy. Payments are non-refundable under all circumstances, including non-attendance, injury, illness, disciplinary action, team changes, or termination for rule breaches.

 

5 | Team Allocation FootballXL Ltd may assign or reassign players to teams at any time to ensure fairness, competitive balance, safety, and league requirements. While player preferences may be considered, final decisions rest solely with FootballXL Ltd.

 

6 | Code of Conduct Players must treat teammates, opponents, officials, and spectators with respect. Aggression, harassment, bullying, discrimination, or offensive language will not be tolerated. Zero tolerance applies to racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism, or hate speech. Respect for officials' decisions is mandatory. Behaviour standards apply at matches, social events, online communication, and all FootballXL environments.

 

7 | Disciplinary Process FootballXL Ltd may investigate breaches of conduct. Sanctions range from informal warnings to match bans and permanent removal. Complaints will be acknowledged within 72 hours. Players have the right to appeal within seven days by emailing hello@footballxl.co.uk. All complaints are handled confidentially.

 

8 | Safeguarding Policy FootballXL Ltd is committed to protecting all participants. Abuse, neglect, bullying, exploitation, or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated. Safeguarding concerns must be reported immediately. FootballXL Ltd may suspend individuals during investigations and cooperate with legal or safeguarding authorities when required.

 

9 | Mental Health & Wellbeing Talks Disclaimer Wellbeing talks provide an open forum for members to share experiences and discuss mental health. These sessions are not therapy. FootballXL Ltd staff are not qualified mental health professionals. Members experiencing suicidal thoughts, thoughts of self-harm, or serious mental health distress are strongly advised to seek immediate help from qualified medical professionals. FootballXL Ltd is not a therapy or counselling provider.

 

10 | Footwear, Clothing & Protective Equipment Players are responsible for wearing appropriate footwear, shin pads, and protective equipment during matches. FootballXL Ltd provides guidance only and is not responsible for injuries caused by failure to follow safety advice. Players may be refused participation if safety requirements are not met, with no refund provided.

 

11 | Health, Safety & Liability Participation is at the player’s own risk. Players confirm they are medically fit to play. FootballXL Ltd does not provide medical advice and is not liable for injuries, losses, or damages except where legally required.

 

12 | Termination of Membership Membership may be terminated for non-payment, misconduct, failing eligibility requirements, providing false information, or reputational harm to FootballXL Ltd. Termination does not entitle players to a refund.

 

13 | Legal Disclaimer FootballXL Ltd makes no guarantees regarding fitness improvement, weight loss, mental health outcomes, or sporting progression. Participation is voluntary, and players waive legal claims except where prohibited by law.

 

14 | Data Protection & Information Sharing FootballXL Ltd collects health, participation, and wellbeing data for operational, safeguarding, reporting, and research purposes. This data may be shared with trusted third parties and partners including, but not limited to, the FA, NHS, and other governing or public health bodies, in compliance with UK data protection laws. By joining, players consent to this data processing and sharing where legally permitted.

 

15 | Amendments FootballXL Ltd reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of updates.

 

16 | Acceptance By registering, players confirm they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
